About the Ski Club of Sarasota

We offer group ski trips from Sarasota or Tampa to the Rockies as well as international destinations in Europe, Canada, or Japan. Summer destinations are occasionally offered to resorts in New Zealand, Australia, and South America.
From time to time, we also offer non-ski trips such as bike and cruise in Europe as well as adventures and sight-seeing to Australia, New Zealand and Thailand.
Since the first trip in 1985, Ski Club of Sarasota has offered trips to fabulous resorts across the globe. Our members care about accommodations at upscale properties and enjoy the extensive planning that sets our trips apart from the typical.
Whether on the slopes or at apres ski or touring events, trips have activities appealing to skiers and non-skiers alike. In fact, the club has had several bike and barge trips touring European countries.

Join our membership by completing a member application and submitting with a check for single or family dues.
Dues are $25 per year for singles and $40 per year for families.

The next get-together is scheduled on Thursday, April 16 at 6:30 PM at Gecko's Fruitville in the M and M Lounge, a private room reserved for our club members.
​Order from the menu with individual checks.. Please wear a name tag from a previous trip!

Members and Guests are invited to attend monthly get togethers. They are usually held at Gecko’s Fruitville Grill & Pub (Located at 351 North Cattlemen Road near the Northeast corner at Cattlemen & Fruitville Roads) M & M Lounge (A private room reserved for club members & guests)
Food & Beverages (Order from the menu with separate checks, gratuity added)
Renewed membership and trip reservations will be accepted. ​

Annual Picnic - To be announced for Fall 2026
We had a great turn out for the annual picnic in 2025! Special thanks to Nancy & Larry Lippert with assistance from Chris & Lyn Wheeler for arranging a fun time!

Plan to reconnect with fellow members for some quality time renewing friendships during the annual picnic. Thanks to Larry and Nancy Lippert for their continuing support in organizing this event. They will be joined this year by Lyn and Chris Wheeler. The club will provide brats, burgers, all the fixings, non-alcoholic beverages, and paper and plastic tableware. Members are asked to provide a dish to share -- appetizer, veggie, salad, or dessert. No glass containers are permitted, but members can provide their own adult beverages.

As soon as the date is set, an invitation will be sent to members in the beginning of September. In the meantime, be sure to watch this website and save the date when it is announced.
