About the Ski Club of Sarasota

We offer several group ski trips per year from Sarasota or Tampa to the Rockies as well as international destinations in Europe, Canada, or Japan.  Summer destinations are occasionally offered to resorts in New Zealand, Australia, and South America.

From time to time, we also offer non-ski trips such as bike and cruise in Europe as well as adventures and sight-seeing to Australia, New Zealand and Thailand.

Since the first trip in 1985, Ski Club of Sarasota has offered trips to fabulous resorts across the globe. Our members care about accommodations at upscale properties and enjoy the extensive planning that sets our trips apart from the typical.

Whether on the slopes or at apres ski or touring events, trips have activities appealing to skiers and non-skiers alike. In fact, the club has had several bike and barge trips touring European countries.

Check out all of our offerings, then send your deposit and paperwork for your favorite destination.

Your Ski Club of Sarasota trip leaders will take care of the rest, planning an awesome experience you'll never forget.

SKI CLUB OF SARASOTA

Snowmass, Colorado

January 13-20, 2024

Sorry ~ This trip is sold out.........

Our annual January trip to Snowmass includes going back to the Top of the Village.  Changes in lodging options offer a choice of deluxe or premium condos so sign up early to get your preference.  Remember that your group discounted lift ticket allows you to ride the slopes at four different resorts:  Snowmass, Aspen, Aspen Highlands, and Buttermilk.  Lots of activities for non-skiers, too!  Too late for this year, but sign up early so you won't be left out in 2025!  It will sell out quickly.

SKI CLUB OF SARASOTA

Breckenridge, Colorado

January 20-27, 2024

This trip is now closed.  Join fellow Sarasota members and other Florida Ski Council clubs at the 2024 January destination ~ Breckenridge!  There are almost 3,000 skiable acres spanning 5 mountain peaks ~ offering terrain choices appropriate for every level of skier and rider.  Lodging for our members is at Beaver Run Resort in Breckenridge Studios, upgraded from standard studios, and located in Building 4, the slopeside building.  FSC activities include 2 evening dinner/dances, the Florida Cup race, and a mountain lunch.

SKI CLUB OF SARASOTA

Soelden, Austria (FSC destination)

March 6 - 18, 2024

Tentative Plans Include

Pre-trip extension to Innsbruck, Austria

Post-trip extension to Munich, Germany

Traveling with other Florida Ski Council clubs to Soelden, Austria inspired plans for a pre-trip extension to Innsbruck and post-trip stay in Munich.  Spending two nights in Innsbruck, skiers can hit the slopes or join non-skiers exploring the rich culture and historic old town.  Continuing by motorcoach to Soelden, Sarasota members will meet up with other Florida clubs for skiing and exploring the resort and surrounding region.  Non ski optional daily excursions to Liechtenstein, Bregenz, and Garmisch will be offered.  Ending the trip with two overnights in Munich will provide further opportunities to experience more of what a trip to Europe offers.

Don't miss out on the experience of your lifetime!

Final plans are underway for a non-ski trip certain to expand your travel experiences!  Argentina is only one time zone different from the Eastern U.S. making the time transition easy to adjust for your internal clock.  Departure to Buenos Aires will start the adventure with continuation to Puerto Madryn, Trelew, Punta Tombo, and Valdes Peninsula.  Then it is south to Ushuaia, known as "The End of the World," where we can visit the Maritime and Presidium Museums and tour the Beagle Channel.  El Calafate/Patagonia will allow exploration of the Glacier Museum and Ice Bar.  A tour is expected to Perito Moreno Glacier where we can walk to see the glacier up close.  Estancia Ranch will offer another highlight before heading back to Buenos Aires for a city tour and Tango Dinner Show.  Other options include a trip to magnificent Iguazu Falls and post trip extension to Mendoza, known for its fine wines.  This trip will sell out quickly ~ We will be limited to 22 passengers.
