Croatia National Parks ~
Cruise and Cycle Tour
May 9-22, 2023
SORRY ~ THIS TRIP IS SOLD OUT WITH A WAIT LIST.
Croatia with the Ski Club of Sarasota! This trip has it all!! We fly into Split and board a luxurious motor coach to see the city of Split on our way to our hotel. We will spend a couple days there and explore before heading to our home for the week on the YOLO, described as a "swimming luxury hotel." Launched in 2019, this ship ROCKS! You won't be disappointed ~ Solid LUXURY!
On this tour we will bike the National Parks of Dalmatia and see its stunning landscape. We will see fjords, waterfalls, colors you cannot even imagine. We will see Zadar, with its 3000 year old history; the Koronati National Park, with its crystal-clear waters; take a bath under the Krka waterfalls; taste olive oils and honeys, abundant and popular items of the area. See cathedrals, old towns, resort areas. Bike along the Oceanside. The trip is both relaxing and full of natural beauty.
After we leave the YOLO, we will spend 3 nights in Dubrovnik. Lord Byron baptized Dubrovnik "the pearl of the Adriatic" because of its incomparable architectural heritage. The gleaming marble streets of Dubrovnik are lined with baroque buildings punctuated by beautifully sculpted Renaissance fountains and facades. Dubrovnik's walls are the most intact and impressive in the Adriatic and clearly head the long list of Dubrovnik's essential sights. For fans of “Game of Thrones,” many scenes were filmed in Dubrovnik (i.e. King’s Landing).
